Exams – A Poem about an exasperating event

Exams - A Poem - NaPoWriMo - Parishi Jain - From The Experts Mouth

National Poetry Writing Month – NaPoWriMo

While we are passing through the exams season, the month of April is also celebrated as NaPoWriMo – National Poetry Writing Month. As part of this project, participants are challenged to write one poem each day for the entire month of April. That may sound less of a fun and creative pursuit, and more of a stressful examination, particularly if your creative juices aren’t flowing, and you hit a writer’s block. Whether you are able to flow into NaPoWriMo naturally, or whether it makes you anxious – you will be able to relate to this post. Presenting this poem on examinations, and the range of emotions that an examinee has to traverse, during the most dreaded time of childhood. Enjoy this poem by Parishi Jain.

The Experience of Exams

Generally, kids and their parents are very apprehensive during the exam days. This poem may help them to get through exams with a very positive attitude.

Like all my friends,
I’m trembling with fear.
You already know that,
The exams are near!

My friends will tease me,
I am so afraid,
I forgot everything even though,
In the class, attention I’ve paid.

“You are good for nothing!”,
My parents will yell,
“You’ll never mind your ways!”
My teacher will scold as well!

Even after studying,
For loads of hours,
I’ve not seen, the faces of
My games and my cars!

I know pretty well,
I must score good.
Make my parents proud,
Work harder, well I should.

Study, that is all it comes,
In my everyday dreams,
I can’t escape from it,
Even in the Internet Memes!

Well in this case,
My friend advised,
Spend quality time with your family,
It will be really nice.

Take a break,
Relieve your stress,
Your hobby is what will help,
For the tension to suppress.

Never lose hope,
Use your wit,
Stay always motivated,
You can do it!
