Game of Success

Game of Success - Vidisha Tripathi - From The Experts Mouth

Achievements and success always look tempting and glamorous from afar. It feels like a dream achieved in a breeze, to an outsider. However, the game of success is a long journey. The hard work involved is known only to the one achieving it, and their close confidantes. In this journey to fame, we have to face many things. We sometimes get little achievements, and sometimes have to face obstacles and criticism.

We must know that success is not only the result we achieve. It is also the courage we show en-route. It also encompasses the values we adhere to, and demonstrate on the way to this long journey. This article is about the little things we must remember at whatever stage we have reached in our lives, especially the ones that I learned in my teenage life.

Always be yourself, express yourself, have faith in yourself, do not go out and look for a successful personality and duplicate it.

Requisites to win the game of success

How to build a strong foundation for the game of success?

Every step towards upgrading ourselves to a better version requires a new and strong foundation. Let’s understand this with the help of an example of baking a three layered cake. We start by making the base of the cake so that it stands properly and the cake does not fall. Only then do we bake the other layers of the cake. So, here if the cake does not have a strong foundation, it will not be able to adequately support the top layers and they will fall. does

Every new structure requires a foundation that should be strong. Life is the same way. Your foundation should have a few important ingredients:

1. Self – confidence
2. Right perspective
3. Independence
4. Hard work

To be prepared is half the victory.

Miguel de Cervantes

Attitude of Gratitude for success

To be successful in life, one of the most important values is the attitude of gratitude. It will be beneficial to focus our mind on things that we have in life, and be grateful for that, instead of cribbing about all the things we lack.

We must know that whatever we do, should be with complete dedication. Doing things with devotion to the almighty will surely make the right choice for us, because God is a magnet to positivity and the right actions. This attitude requires spirituality and self-belief. This attitude is beneficial for building self-confidence and not arrogance.

We learned about gratitude and humility – that so many people had a hand in our success, from the teachers who inspired us to the janitors who kept our school clean… and we were taught to value everyone’s contribution and treat everyone with respect.

Michelle Obama

Role of Confidence in the Game of Success

Confidence is a key to success. Having self-confidence and knowing that whatever you are doing is right, leads you to the right way.

Self-confidence also requires balance. Neither we should be over-confident, nor arrogant. There is a thin line between arrogance and self-confidence:

1. One must be the best in their own eyes and must know how to embrace themselves, and be better than what they are. (confidence)

2. One must be the best in their eyes as well as the world’s best. (arrogance)

These two sentences define the meaning of self-confidence and arrogance. We must know that out of the world’s population of 8 billion, a single human being cannot be the best, but we can be better as compared to the others, and better than our previous versions.

All you need in this life is ignorance and confidence, and then success is sure.

Mark Twain

Self respect for success

In today’s world, self respect plays a very important role for everyone, but people have misunderstood it’s actual meaning.

Self respect is to build the right personality and make few boundaries that no one can cross, until you allow them to. It does not mean being respected by everyone. Neither does it imply that people do not cross-question our actions.

Having healthy boundaries not only requires being able to say “no” but also being willing and able to enforce that “no” when necessary.

Jessica Moore

Self respect is also about respecting others and listening to their perspectives. A person must know the right way to be straightforward to make others clear about their boundaries.

Conclusion

These were the few things that I am trying to develop in myself for being the right person and enjoying my way to success.

In the end, I would like to conclude on this note:

“Success is about enjoying the journey and be grateful for what we have and work for what we can achieve”.
