The Beauty of Art

Editor’s Note: The Beauty of Art

Art is just a matter of perspective and interpretation. The same picture may mean something different to every individual, it allows room for diversity and contrasting opinions, while also steering people towards unity, which is what makes art truly great! Let us dive deeper to appreciate the beauty of art, with this striking piece of stippling art, which also helps us put our perception in the right perspective.

My Stippling Artwork

My stippling artwork is rendered using thousands of minuscule black ink dots and a write-up along with it. My write-up illustrates that merely choosing to consider the technical competence it took to render the artwork, one may fail to appreciate it in its true beauty.

You look at this picture closely, it simply appears to be a bunch of dots. It is when you take a step back that you see the bigger picture, that’s the beauty of art. If you merely choose to consider the technical competence it took to render the artwork, you may fail to appreciate it in its true beauty.

The Beauty of Art is that there are no rules

NB: You should be able to zoom into the image and see the magic unfold on most devices.

Sculpting My Beauty of Art

Art communicates intimate concepts that can not be expressed explicitly through words, it is up to you, however, to decide how much time you give your mind to absorb the image you are seeing and how deep you let it take you as you contemplate on the pure aesthetics of the artwork.

‘Beauty’ here does not solely associate with ‘prettiness’, to me it is its innate ability to trigger emotions without saying a single word. It’s beauty is that there is no wrong way to interpret it, irrespective of what the artist wants to convey. You may find artwork to be beautiful and arousing without believing it to be pretty.

Stippling Art and Our Perception – From The Editor’s Desk

Did you know about Stippling Art? Stippling is the technique of creating patterns, objects, depicting lights and shadows, and other visual imagery, merely by the use of dots of a single color.

Stippling art also serves as a wonderful metaphor to remind us of those instances in our lives when things appear very different when you look at them from a distance, as you are able to appreciate the ‘bigger picture’. The next time you are missing the woods for the trees, you can soak yourself in stippling art and re-orient your perception.
